Heroin Addict and Overdose

Naloxone injection is known for the reverse effects of
opiates during surgeries, it is given to babies after delivery to clear out their system of
any opiates remains from the pregnant mother due to pain management, prior delivery, it is
also given to those who suffer septic shock to lower their blood pressure.
Naloxone is an opiate antagonist which blocks the central nervous system effects
of other several opiates medication such as morphine, oxycodone,
methadone, and heroin (NIH, 2014).
BACK FROM DEAD!!
Naloxone is used to reverse heroin overdose due to its
antagonist property. This means that Naloxone injection opposes the heroin
action (overdose) on the brain. The video is pretty disturbing because it is a
real life situation-documentary. In this video you have the chance to see the
unconscious, heroin overdosed person coming back to live after Naloxone injection.
Watch the video please. Thank you.
